This module is designed to introduce the students to the core concepts of the Computer Science discipline such as algorithms, computation, data structures, as well as different technologies such as SQL, AI, Python, and allows to apply the knowledge while working on the coursework.
🐍 Coding assignment (Python)
This assignment requires that students demonstrate their knowledge of the software development lifecycle, data structures and algorithms, design an application from scratch, and implement it using Python and Jupyter Notebooks.
📊 Coding assignment (SQL)
The students are presented with a database snapshot and must extract various sets of data from it demonstrating their knowledge of SQL.
📝 Essay
Students must select an emerging trend in the field of computer science, analyze it critically, and perform a case study of an industry player involved with the discussed technology.
